Enter information below about the companes that are tracking you online:

Company #1Edit

Quantcast

To the best of our understanding, this company engages in the following business:

Helps companies understand who their audiences are, and helps deliver adversting for those

companies by analyzing demographics, geogrpahics and internet based insights. Generates

publically available traffic and audience profiles for millions of web destinations.

One good think about this company's privacy policy (link to the privacy policy) is that: They Opt-Out Option was an amazing tool that you can sign up for and it allows you to stop recieving ads and inetrest based content from Quantcast. People that dont want provided with content driven from webpages they have accessed can not stop the process at least from Quantcast.

One bad thing about this company's privacy policy is that:

The clause labeled "Business Transfers" was basically a clause that said if they get bought or go bankrupt they can and probably will sell or transfer your personal identifiable information. A clause that seems extremely dangerous, especially since they are rated so high what happens if they get bought by someone we don't want to have our information.

Company #2Edit

The Trade Desk

To the best of our understanding, this company engages in the following business:

According to PrivacyChoice The Trade Desk is a technology company who helps advertisers connect with consumers who are interested or could benefit from the advertisers' products.

One good thing about this company's privacy policy (link to the privacy policy) is that:

The abilty to opt out of the of "relevant" ads and they will not target users they know to be unde rthe age of 13. A clause not always seen with ad companys that deal with a wide arrange of demographics.

One bad thing about this company's privacy policy is that:

They will store your information for up to 3 years. It will be anonymous but information being stored that long seems a bit extreme.

Company #3Edit

Google Display Network

To the best of our understanding, this company engages in the following business:

Websites and blogs will allow google to display ads on their site and google will in turn place cookies

to track what your interest are to give you personalized ads. Google Display Network or doubleclick.net

is how google provides content for the companies that sign up with google.

One good think about this company's privacy policy (link to the privacy policy) is that:

There is no use of race, religion, or any financial information when google gives people

personalized ads. Financial info can be really sensitive, and for gollow not to use that information is a huge plus.

One bad thing about this company's privacy policy is that:

The privacy policy says that may track information from cell phones.

We're assuming phones under the andriod operating system. They will track who you call,

look up, and serach to provide you ads when you're searching on your phone. The fact that they are tracking from

everywhere is extremely alarming.
